What is the rate of pay?

Our rate of pay is competitive and commensurate with the experience of those applying for a role.

Is the work contractual, or can I work for you as self-employed?

Both. We have several cleaners who work for us on a contractual basis but equally we have some cleaners who wish to maintain a ‘self-employed’ status. Where the latter is the case, invoice us for the hours you have worked and we will pay you the pre-agreed rate between both parties.

How many hours per week will I work?

This is entirely up to you. Be sure to tell us how many hours you would like to work and on what days and we will work hard to ensure your needs are covered along with those of our clients.

Can I choose what days and times I work?

Yes of course, please just ensure that you are available for the days and times you agree to as to ensure continuity.

                Do I need transport?

No but having your own form of transport certainly helps. Nonetheless, if you arrive on time to yo
ur client then you should face no issues.

What happens if my client goes on holiday?

Some clients have their cleans when they're away and use it as an opportunity for a deep clean whilst they're gone. However, if your client doesn't want you to attend, we can give you a cover to replace the hours. Or you too can have a mini holiday.

What am I expected to wear? Am I provided with a uniform?

Comfortable clothing that allows you work to the best of your ability but you will be provided with (and expected to wear) your ‘Maid for the Job’ cleaning apron.

Do I take my own products and equipment?

Yes, although some of
our clients want us to use their own products. We are therefore guided by them.

What happens if any of my clients cancels their service?

If cancelled on the day, you will still receive your full salary. If cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, we will try to replace those hours elsewhere.

Do I need my own insurance?

No we have comprehensive liability insurance so you do not need your own. If an accidental damage did occur, we would expect you to follow the procedures set out in the staff handbook which will be shared with you on acceptance of the role.
